Xianda Wu , vice-director researcher, graduate advisor of Institute of Intelligent Machines, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and secretary of the Party Committee of Institute of Intelligent Machines, Chinese Academy of Sciences, vice-president of Hefei Science and Technology Committee, vice-chairman of Anhui Zhongke Intelligent High-Tech Co., Ltd., director of Keda Creative Stock Co., Ltd, director of Anhui Electronic Association, Anhui Science and Technology Museum Association and Anhui Software Association, senior member of Chinese Electronic Association, representative of the 10th People's Congress of Anhui province.
    A native of Tongcheng , Anhui province, he graduated from Anhui University in 1975, majoring in Automatic Control. He was engineer in 1985 and promoted to senior engineer in 1992 and researcher in 1999. As a project leader of intelligent detection technology in Institute of Intelligent Machines , he has been to Hong Kong , South Korea , Sweden etc. for friendly visit and further study. He devoted himself to the scientific innovation ,gaining remarkable success in the field of automatic engineering ,pattern recognition ,intelligent system, intelligent detection technology, computer control system and intelligent instruments and devices etc. such as, the design of “Real-time Computer Operating System” for Automatic dispatching Centre of Chuan-han gas pipeline projection won Achievement Award of the 1st National Scientific Congress, the research on “Automatic judgment system of 3D geometric solid mechanical tact" placed in the collection of Achievements on Scientific Research of Chinese Academy of Sciences, “Computer control system of conservancy engineering using twist-suck dredge” passed expert assessment and obtained the favorable comment, the intelligent detecting technique of “Minim leakage airproof performance intelligent detect technology” won Anhui Science and Technology Advancement Award (2nd class) which has came up to the world advanced standard, “ZC series intelligent leakage detect instrument” won Anhui Excellent New Product Award (2nd class) which has made important contributions to the technology progress of fuel gas appliance industry, and IC gas meter, Domestic cardiovascular detection technique, and Celestial phenomenon demonstration and spheriform multimedia integrated system etc. won Outstanding Contribution Prize awarded by Anhui province and Chinese Academic of Sciences. He has authored and co-authored 20 technical papers and 2 research monographs including “Design of high pressure airproof detect instrument on fuzzy reasoning”, and held 8 granted national patents. Those transformations of scientific achievement and execution of proprietary technology have greatly promoted the technological progress of relative industry and gained considerable economic benefit. Prof. Wu enjoyed special allowance provided by Anhui province in 1994. Now he is in charge of several projects on space technology, key scientific projects of Anhui province and high technology research which meets the economic needs.
   Since 1989 Prof. Wu has been the Deputy division chief of the Technological Office of Institute of Intelligent Machines, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chief Executive of the high technology corporation, Laboratory director, the assistant of IIM Director, Vice director, Vice secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of Commission for Inspecting Discipline, successively. He was elected as the Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice director of Institute of Intelligent Machines , Chinese Academy of Sciences on March, 2005. As a leader, he steadily intensified the study of Deng Xiaoping Theory, Marxism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and the important thought of “Three-represents”.
