The First I nternational C onference on I ntelligent C omputation ( ICIC2005) sponsored by IIM was opened ceremoniously in Anhui I nternational E xhibition C enter on August 23. Prof. Xiao-Ping Zhang from Canada presided over the opening ceremony. Kunseng Ji, V ice-chairman of the S tanding C ommittee of A nhui P rovincial P eople's C ongress gave a welcome address in the opening ceremony. Over 500 well- known experts and scholars from China and abroad participated in this conference.
In this conference 2128 papers from 39 countries and Region have been received and 563 of them have been accepted. During the three-day conference large key-note lectures on artificial intelligence, machine learning, neural computation etc. were delivered. The success of this conference indicates that the relevant fields of IIM have come up to the world advanced standard. |
